We had such a great Easter with our family, I wanted to show some photos!!! Our son Gaston had a painter paint this for us for Easter!! We love it! 4 Years of Love
We had the artist paint this photo for our special, to commemorate this occasion. We finally are home and unpacked and my computer is all setup! Here is our first family photo at our new place! We live right off the water and have a very private backyard. The inside of the house is 3 stories...on the bottom level of the house we have all the children's room and a big play area. On the main floor we have the kitchen and dining room with plenty of space for our dog, Jake. The top level is mine and Gattz bedroom and a small office for me to write our blogs and work at home. The children unfortunately thought they would add some charm to our windows so that took quite a long time to wash all the windows but at least it was not all over the walls! Hopefully their painting is a sign of beautiful memories in this new home! Here is just a lil quick entry of some photos of the children on their first day of scouts (Above) Dash with her scout leader and her super awesome mom (below) We arrived home from vacation to check on our home and to make sure we had running water and cookies, of course. Unfortunately there was a problem with the house, the grass outside had to be dug up to put a sewer system in! The problem is, we had scheduled a nice tropical getaway after camp ended and well, it happened to be at the same time! I called up the city and spoke with the mayors office but she was pretty firm that it needed to be done that week and I needed to be home to supervise It also came with a large price tag for the landscaper to fix our garden! WHAT A MESS! The day we were supposed to leave the lawn was torn up! Luckily my sister said she would come by and babysit for our dog and the lawn!! Nothing was going to stop up...so away we went! Overall, we had one of the best vacations in a long time. We really were able to relax and the island has so much room we hardly saw each other at times. We also gave Peyton and Revy a honeymoon suite, so it was an enjoyable time together! I miss Plurk more than I thought, I am not really sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing. On one hand, I feel really lonely from the daily sharing of everyone's lives and fun jokes to cure the moments of boredom, keep me company when I feel alone and to just make me feel connected to everyone. On the other hand, I struggle with why I feel this bad about not having that one part of my focus. I actually have found it very quiet and indeed it is giving me something I needed - one less distraction (not from everyone but myself) I have come to the realization that going to plurk, was becoming a habit. Probably why so many said the same thing to me "I could never give up plurk". I guess until they found a reason or it shut down! I actually am excited to go back as I have been plurking in my head during the day.. "Jill SHARES how much she misses plurk"! I have a lot of updating to do on this site and it will get done ... just after vacation!
We knew someone was out there for us but it was looking for a needle in a haystack. It actually happened when we least expected it...It was on the last night of camp when I was reading stories and I had this little feeling inside as if my son was there around the campfire. It was that mommas inkling, that little spark that made my heart feel warm. Both Gattz and I knew instantly that Gaston was going to be a great fit for our family! February 23rd we made it official So as we waited for the inspection on our new home, we decided to take some time and drive to Las Vegas for a vacation! There was a cozy hotel right on the water called the Cabana Hotel & Resort. On the itinerary we had a trip to California for Disney Land and a stop at the Las Vegas casinos and .... wedding hall! We arrived at the hotel and made good use out of the area attractions but the best thing that happened during that trip was the marriage of our Goddaughter Revy and our son Peyton! They will be having a bigger wedding once we get home and they could plan :) Happy New Years Everyone!!! This will be a short journal entry as the electric company is here turning off the electric in our old home. That's right, old home - we are moving! Shortly after Christmas we sold our home for a quick sale and I mean quick! We are moving to the other side of the sim, to a quiet little town to a beautiful home with enough bedrooms for each kid and for the one we know we will eventually bring home. |
